We've used Parobek several times for plumbing, AC installation, and have been very pleased with the work and employees.

Our home got hit by lightning, and we found out about a month and half after the fact that the strike had destroyed our AC. We called Parobek on a Friday, and Al came out that day. Al let us know that it would be more expensive and problematic to fix than to just replace. Cody (ROCKSTAR!) came out on Sunday (!) to look at the system and figure out what it was going to take to replace. My system was pretty old and the previous summer I'd had a technician with a different company quote me over $15k to replace it. Cody looked at our system, figured out what needed to replaced, and told us about our options. He had a few options for us, very clearly told us what was worth upgrading and what wasn't (and saved us some $ in the process), and took the time to patiently explain to me and my wife the different options without being condescending in the slightest. The new system is getting installed in two days, and Cody got us everything for about 75% of the price of the prior replacement quote I'd received. Insurance covered a lot of the cost on our replacement, and dealing with the insurance company and mortgage company to get the insurance money was a pain and time consuming. Cody has worked with us the whole way, and provided an insane amount of touch and communication. I appreciate the heck out of him! If you get the pleasure of dealing with Parobek and need any form of HVAC equipment installed, request Cody. He's awesome and a credit to Parobek. Edit: The new AC system got installed yesterday. Carlos and Mauricio showed up at the time promised on the dot. Both were highly competent, friendly, professional, and downright awesome. They ran into a couple of challenges, but were able to solve them quickly. It took them about 8 hours from start to finish, which I found seriously impressive. The system is running like a top - it cooled our house from 83 degrees to 72 quite quickly, and is so quiet that I can't tell it's running unless I put my hand up to the vents. Carlos very clearly explained basic maintenance of the system for us, including a couple of things that I had never been told before relating to checking the drain pan periodically and putting vinegar or bleach in the p-traps to keep the drains from gunking up. Long story short, I'm super impressed with both Carlos and Mauricio. I suspect I won't need AC installation services for many years to come, but if I do I'll be calling Parobek and asking specifically for the two of them.

We had Anthony Maldonado and Andres come out today to perform routine HVAC maintenance. During the inspection, they identified an issue that must have occurred during installation when the house was being built. They were able to correct the issue and ensured everything was running smoothly. Anthony was very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. Additionally, Anthony took the time to break down different options depending on our level of commitment and he took pictures and was able to explain in depth, every issue and component of the HVAC system. They were also able to do same day work, which we really appreciated. We had a great experience overall and look forward to working with them again in the future.

We use Parobek for HVAC system and Plumbing needs for our house, because of the quality work and all of the team members we have interacted with have been professional and so friendly! For our HVAC maintenance, Anthony was great! Very personable and knowledgeable. Provided helpful information about extending the life of our system. Terry and Julio worked on our plumbing issues including installing a new toilet and fixing the shower. Though I know our house has some “quirks” being built in 1963, both Terry and Julio worked through those challenges calmly and creatively, all while making us feel confident that everything would be great. We will definitely use Parobek again because of these experiences!

Joseph did a great job on our new HVAC installation! Help us figure out the best way to get the HVAC working the most efficient for what we needed and managed to get the new system up and running very quickly in spite of the 100+ degree heat. A/C unit was going out so we were shopping around Kathryn came by to assess our situation. She did a great job of listening to what our concerns were and providing an option that best fit our needs. No high pressure tactics, just good honest information. Well done Kathryn I had Jose and his team come out to do my HVAC install. The detail Of their work was top notch, the unit inside and outside looked very clean and you could tell they take great pride in their work. They wore booties and put down cloth to protect our carpet while working which was appreciated. I had an emergency situation whereas the A/C lines backed up in the attic, the drip pan overflowed, and the water saturated the ceiling wetting the sheet rock, creating a hole, w/pieces of the ceiling falling onto the ground. Shane initially diagnosed the problem on an after hours call, & the next morning the repair team (led by Jose) from Abacus was at my door. They also had a QuickDry company on site immediately to dry & repair the water damage. Amazing service, honest ppl, & fair pricing. Shane & Jose were fantastic. I dropped my HVAC maintenance contract w/an established Austin company & moved over to Abacus. Stellar customer service!
