Can I install a ceiling fan myself without existing wiring?

You can, but installing a ceiling fan without existing wiring is rarely DIY. It often needs new wiring and a fan-rated support box, which our licensed electricians install to code. Custom installs require an on-site assessment for accurate pricing. Basic replacements with existing wiring start around $100–$250. New wiring takes more time and materials. We offer free in-person assessments or an $89 diagnostic with a whole-home electrical check. Serving McKinney and Plano.
